Alvaro Morata Put Spain Ahead Against Greece

Álvaro Morata scored Spain’s first goal in 2022 World Cup qualifiying. The Juventus striker took advantage of Koke’s spectacular pass to give Spain the lead.

Spain took their time, but managed to score against Greece. After a first half hour with very chances, Alvaro Morata opened the scoring after a great play with his teammate Koke.

The move started through Rodri. The Spanish midfielder for Man City found Koke. The Atletico man lifted his head and spotted Morata had got away from his man in the area.

Morata made the run just at the right moment to make sure he was onside, he received the high pass, controlled it with his chest and beat Vlachodimos with a volley by the near post.

Spain got their first goal of the 2022 World Cup qualifying campaign and they did so through their top scorer, Morata. He has now scored 19 times for Spain.
