Yilmaz Scored For Turkey Against The Netherlands

Turkey hosted Netherlands in the opening match of 2022 World Cup qualifying in Europe and the home side took the lead after just 15 minutes. Burak Yilmaz got the goal.

Turkey took the lead against the Netherlands in the opening game of 2022 World Cup qualifying.

After a goalless first quarter of an hour in Istanbul, Burak Yilmaz tried his luck from 25 yards out, the ball took a deflection off a Dutch defender and the ball went into Tim Krul’s right hand corner. The keeper ended up getting close to it, but was unable to reach it.

Norway, Montenegro, Latvia and Gibraltar are the other teams that make up Group G.

The remainder of the matches on Wednesday kick off at 20:45 CET.
